Freedom of religion or understanding the pain?

The building of a Mosque near the world trade center is such a touchy topic. It's hard to really pick a side. It's either you are for it being build supporting the freedom of religion or you are against it being build because you either first hand know the pain or sympathize with the pain of the family of those killed on 911.
Do you hold a whole religion accountable for what happened on 911 or do you continue to hurt those still in pain. As I said it is a touchy topic but I would like to hear your opinions.
Thanks!

  1. I agree that this is a very sensitive situation. I feel for the families that lost loved one on 9/11. With that being said, I think we are coming upon a point of no return with how this situation will be handled. If the center is not allowed to be built where do we stop? What's next to be censored? Is the area around Ground Zero now governed by the families of the victims? You can't wear the America the land of the free t-shirt then turn around and behave as if America is the land of the free for only some."

If the REAL issue was that the center is being funded by Muslim extremist, then there wouldn't be talk of having the center built at another location. So what's the issue? It's a Muslim center that's the issue. So everyone needs to think and know that if this is censored anyone and everyone who is not apart of "Them" is next.
