Shampoo Vs ME

Shampoo won today. It was PAST time for me to wash my hair... with shampoo. I used Pantene the Curly line. As much as i hate shampoo i must say this one happens to like my hair. When i usually wash my hair with shampoo it feels like sand paper after but this pantene does not quite do that to my hair. I use a half dollar size amount of  shampoo for the first time, i lather my hair the best i can and wash it out, then i use another half dollar amount and lather well. I only shampoo my hair twice. Then i soak it with My Aussie conditioner and comb out the tangles in four parts. Doing this is a long process. By the time im done with this wash im exhausted, but...my hair feels great.
When i was done i put on some "Herbal essence long term relationship" and my mixture of coconut/jojoba oil.

Hair today

 Hey everyone. I have decided to keep a hair diary. While I do have a youtube page i don't cover all the trials and tribulations I go through with my hair.

In the month of March I will make 2 years of being "natural" For the first year and a few months into the second I transitioned. During my transition i did not have many problems with my hair. towards the end of my transition my hair started to get tangled. The tangles drove me crazy so i cut my relaxed ends off. After cutting my relaxed ends I noticed I had some damage which caused me to cut more off especially the top where most of my tangles were. I wanted to cry but decided against it. I didn't really tell anyone because i figured it wasn't a huge deal.

The month after my BC I went through a lot of products. It took me 3 months to actually get somewhat of a grip on my hair. I finally kind of had a reggie, i realized that my hair NEEDS lots of water. I have to wash my hair 3 times a week (more in the summer) if its not in a lasting style. I MUST moisturize daily( even though my laziness sometimes get the best of me i try my best to do so). Shampoo is my enemy and i use as little as i can b/c it dries my hair out something serious. I do Acv rinses which helps with the build up.

Ive watched various youtube videos and i have YET to see someone with hair like me, Ive seen ppl who come close but not like me, at first I was like Ugggg, then i said "welp I guess i have to figure this thing out on my own". I learned that some styles that i love my hair will never achieve i started to get upset with my hair but then as time went on i started to embrace it. I am now IN LOVE with my hair. and like all love we have our ups and downs, like today for instance... i look like a real live chia pet. My hair is dry and all over the place begging to be washed.lol I will grant its wish and wash her later tonight.

Kim K's money shot...

Here we go again...Kim k revealing it all.  Im sure a few of you saw the episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York. She was so upset about these nude pics that she posed nude for *blank stare*. Her mom continued to tell her the pictures looked amazing it was a little weird to say the least. Here are the photos... proceed with caution... they look "ok". I used to really like Kim K but she is becoming repetitive and... annoying to say the least.

Hair DONT ever, ever, ever

As i go on my journey of this "natural hair state" i make my share of mistakes.Even being completely natural for 7 months and going through the process (transitioning) for 2 years this coming March i still make mistakes. my latest one. Washing my hair and sticking it into a ponytail with no product. When i took the ponytail out it was so brittle and dry, it felt like something i can clean my stuck-on pots with.... lets just say it wasnt good!

New York Fashion week...

So as some of us know New York fashion week started February 9th 2011 and end February 17th 2011, they start at 9am and end at 9pm. How interested is the average New Yorker in Fashion week?If they are anything like me they get pretty excited. Unfortunately getting into seeing one of the shows is not as easy as one may think. you have to know someone that knows someone and i got confirmation today when asking someone how THEY got into the shows, i was basically told... you have to know somebody that knows somebody.
Not being able to get into the shows kinda takes the steam out of fashion week for some of us. So every year I simply watch the recaps on TV and wish i was lucky enough to visit the "tents".
Ironically for some reason this season i don't feel fashion week is "all the rave" as it has been seasons passed.... maybe its the horrible weather we have had to endure or maybe its the idea that the "average" working new yorker is more worried about working, parenting, going to school, and/or paying the bills.
I guess with this reality my wanting to go is a bit shallow

. Shallow as it is its still on my "TO DO LIST". Maybe I will get a shot to go to the spring 2011 fashion week who knows....

Again... yes im back and i PROMISE i will be blogging more. Ive missed blogging. life kind of took over and my days turned to nights. Ive been working hard on my accessories and getting my work out there. I am blessed to have loyal customers!
